Rip Esselstyn invites you to join Engine 2 and Whole Journeys in Sedona, Arizona for the adventure of a lifetime – an all-inclusive plant-based weeklong intensive immersion retreat! We’re thrilled to offer a weeklong immersion at the Sedona Mago Retreat Center.
Featuring the distinguished teachers and researchers that the world watched in the documentary ‘Forks Over Knives’, this 7-day/6-night life-changing week will give you a powerful in-depth medical & nutritional education about why and how to adopt a plant-strong lifestyle as well as hands-on cooking demonstrations. The curriculum delves deeply into the psychological and practical methods and practices for successfully implementing sustainable lifestyle changes, with multiple lectures and breakout sessions led by esteemed physician Caldwell B. Esselstyn, and renowned Stanford University psychologist Doug Lisle.
Each day begins with a selection of morning workouts, ranging from moderate group exercise (led by world-class Plant-Strong personal trainer Nathan Turner) to yoga or hiking for all levels. After a delicious hot plant-strong breakfast buffet, each morning will feature two to three thought-provoking and entertaining lectures from our esteemed speaker panel. Following a delicious, all-you-can-eat plant-strong lunch, the afternoon features two additional lectures.
Each afternoon is filled with 2-3 hours of free time and adventures, including horseback riding, hiking (including the West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon hike – rated on of the TOP 10 most scenic hikes in the United States!), yoga overlooking the Red Rocks of Sedona, massage, pool & hot tub relaxation, and shopping excursions to Sedona’s wonderful shops. Free time will offer participants a chance to explore the bounty of extraordinary outdoor activities in the Sedona high desert, both at the retreat center and beyond.
Each evening will feature a hands-on cooking demonstration (where you will learn how to bring the same healthy foods home to your kitchen and pantry), followed by a gourmet all-you-can-eat plant-strong dinner, and an assortment of nighttime activities (including a magical performance by Sedona performing artist Porangui, a star-watching party, a roaring bonfire, and talent show, and all-star special screening of ‘Forks Over Knives’).
All participants will be offered two full comprehensive biometric screenings, personal medical consultations with plant-based physician and author Dr. Stuart Seale, and will have 24-hour access to our Engine 2 Immersion Medical team – all of which are included in the registration fee. Comfortable accommodations are available on a double-occupancy basis, registration fee covers 18 meals (from dinner on arrival day to lunch on departure day), lodging, and all education materials, including all taxes and gratuities. Ground transportation and air travel to Sedona are not included, but can easily be arranged.
